The Quinta is a good example of Portuguese architecture of the period which continued to the beginning of the 20th Century.
The upper floor is the living area whilst the lower floor was used for wine making, agricultural implements, general storage and housing the animals.

In addition to the rooms in the Quinta, there is a bedroom in an annex with a bathroom with a minibath / shower.
The Qunta is furnished to the highest quality with antiques from the 16th century. There are five large magnificent rooms all with private bathroom.

The owner provides a small bottle of wine in each room to help the sleep process. Guests also have the use of a splendid living room with television and indoor games.

Quinta da Foz sits in a small community between the lagoon of Óbidos, a large area of shallow sheltered water, and the beaches of the Atlantic coast. The lagoon is a wonderful place for relaxing and enjoying the Portugese countryside. For the more energetic, you can windsurf in the sheltered lagoon or experience the excitement of the Atlantic beach and the Portuguese trade winds which blow along the coast in the afternoons.

The nearby town of Caldas da Rainha has an important spa. The walled medieval town of Óbidos is a few kilometers away. You can also spend the day enjoying the nearby attractive fishing ports of Nazáre and Peniche, both of which are famous for their fish restaurants.

There are stables at the Quinta with a large covered training area or, if prefered, experienced riders can use the bridle paths of the region or ride along the sandy beaches.

Opportunity should be taken during your stay to look inside the private chapel of the house where family weddings, christenings etc. are held.
