It is a vacation home for our family and we maintain our mountain retreat as a home rather than a rental property. You may wonder, "what is the difference between a private mountain home and a rental property"? Below is a description and pictures of our mountain get-away. It will help explain the difference between renting our home and renting a house from a property management company. The core difference is the level of care, the attention to detail and the ambiance that can only be created from "pride in ownership".

Many of the locals call our home "Forest Haus" because of its European alpine look and wooded privacy.
The interior is done in a tongue and groove birch wood that has been finished with a Danish oil.

Boreas Pass Cross- Country Ski Trailhead is virtually right out our front door (starts about 50 yards down from our home).
The dining room is large enough to have 14 people dining together.
