A first-class address in the magnificent capital city!
Perfect For: A small family or two couples.
Near the colonnades of Saint Peter's This house is an excellent starting point for exploring all of Rome on foot. When staying at La Mura, you do not need a car, taxi or other public transportation. The whole historic centre is within walking distance, only a stone's throw away.
And when you come back to your flat (using the escalator to the third floor) after a day filled with art and long walks, you will enjoy the space, lots of light and the remarkable peace and quiet considering the flat ís central location within the city.
Le Mura is a flat in an apartment house of the sixties and sleeps 4-5. There are two bedrooms and one studio with an additional bed (suited more for a child than for an adult). The ambience is stylish; the flat is furnished with antiques and the parquet floor shines. It is designed in a clear and neat manner:
The kitchen, studio and bedroom are small, whilst the central living room is spacious with its comfortable settee and dining alcove at the window. The rooms do not have simple windows but large window fronts with access to the balcony. The living room has a long, small balcony; the studio a rectangular, approx. 10-sm large balcony furnished with a table and chairs so that you can sit outside.
The balcony has a roof and a wonderful view of the antique city walls of Marcus Aurelius, of palms and pines. You will find it delightful here and enjoy spending the long nights with a glass of cool Frascati. And when you want to experience a bit of life again, it is only a short walk to a bar, trattoria or restaurant, at the end of the antique wall where you will also find all necessary shops as well as a bus stop.
The millennium has approached. All of Rome has smartened up: The travertine stone on churches, fountains and facades blinds us in its whiteness and the colours on the palaces are shining again, even the Romans experience their city as entirely new. Visitors from all over the world are expected and there are hardly any lodgings still available. We are happy, therefore, to have this flat on our offer.
A first-class address in the magnificent capital city! This accommodation is very reasonably priced, compared to the city's prices, and also when you consider the equipment offered and, above all, its central location.
A short walk of 5 minutes and you are at St. Peter's square, in 10 minutes you will reach Castel San Angelo, in about 20 minutes the Pantheon and the elegant Piazza Navona with its chic showcases di Alta Moda in Via Condotti. Equally quickly you can reach the unspoilt quarter around Campo dei Fiori,
the historic flower and vegetable market. The cobbled lanes are narrow and romantic, you will not find any shops (and hardly any tourists) here but craftspeople and artisans who have always been working on the streets. Close by is the proud Palazzo Farnese of Michelangelo (the king of the Roman palaces, maybe the most beautiful palace of all times) and nearby the gracefully adorned Palazzo Spada with the artful small colonnade of Borromini in the inner court. Flatter the guards at the entrance and they
might let you in...
