Alii Hale is a beautiful home across the street from a small secluded beach. Alii in Hawaiian means royalty. Many Alii Hale guests report that the name describes their experience.

This home has everything including a rooftop sundeck and Jacuzzi, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, fax machine, 2 telephone lines, a television in each bedroom and living room and a VCR in each living room and the twin bedroom. It is a wonderful place to relax, but stay in contact with your business. The owners take great pride in their home. When they cannot be in the land of Aloha, they welcome others to enjoy their home. They reguarly receive rave reviews from their Alii Hale guests!
Alii Hale is located midway between Kailua-Kona and Keauhou on Alii Drive.

Across the street form Alii Hale is a small, peacful beach. It is accessible only by foot. The beach is a wonderful place to soak up the warm Kona sunshine and view the beautiful sunsets. The snorkeling is excellent. Sea turtles and many colorful fish frequent the waters inside the rock reef, which shelters the small white sand beach. This is a great "baby beach".

In addition to loving the beach across the street is very special, the owners chose to build Alii Hale in its current location because one can engage in so many Kona activities without driving more than 3 miles. Kona activities include: golf; deep sea fishing; snorkeling; swimming; scuba diving; parasailing; bicycling; jogging; bowling; tennis; and other sports. There are also many fine restauratns, delightful shops, and stadium style cinemas.

The Alii Hale area offers many different activities and attractions. Even the usually "bored teenagers" seem to like Alii Hale. The beach across the street is fun. The Alii Shuttle stops almost across the street and for a reasonable fee provides transportation into Kailua-Kona. Kona has numerous ocean activities, golf, tennis, good public parks, dining, shopping, etc.

Alii Gardens Market Place, which is an upscale type of farmers' market, is approximately 2 blocks north on Alii Drive. Approximately, 2 miles south of Alii Hale is White Sands Beach,a good body surfing and boogie boarding beach for experienced swimmers. There is an excellent snorkeling beach approximately 3 miles to the south of Alii Hale. One can see lots of different types of fish in knee deep water. Bring your frozen peas to fee the fish!

It is amazing how much low cost entertainment is available in the Alii Hale area. For example, in the morning, walking to Kailua is a great way to start the day. After dinner, the owners like to drive into Kailua and walk along the sea wall in the tropical breezes and have a shave ice. Sometimes, there is free entertainment at the Kona Village Inn Shooping Center. The free hula show at the Keauhou Shopping Center on Friday night is quite good. Another favorite is soaking in the Jacuzzi on the rooftop sundeck in the eveing under the stars!

Alii Hale is also a good place to use as a headquarters for around the island site-seeing. The expensive Waikoloa area is approximately 30 miles to the north. Riding the free boats at the Hilton and going to the beaches in this area are definitely worthwhile expenditures of precious site-seeing time. Waimea and Parker Ranch are about 40 miles to the northeast. Waimea is ranching country at its best. Hilo is on the other side of the island. Hilo is rainy, but has fantastic flowers, gardens and a very small but extremely special zoo. Hilo is a full day trip. The volcano is very educational. It too is a full day trip.

While there is so much to do on in Kona and the Big Island, it is very easy to become so relaxed at Alii Hale that all those activities just do not seem as important as they were when you planned them!
