Beach Haven is in the Big Bend area of the Florida Panhandle. It's quite a remarkable and quite a contrast to the touristy Panhandle destinations of Panama City, Destin, Ft Walton Beach, and Pensacola. It's an understatement to say we are in little quieter area. Nevertheless there is a great deal to do and to explore.

Other than snoozing on the deck in the afternoon, collecting sea shells, walking on the beach, gazing at the sky, falling in love all over again, there are lots of things to do.

Keep in mind this is a very natural area, so please do not expect touristy-type activities. Although I do not fish, I hear the fishing is great and I always see someone fishing.

There is a sea aquarium close by that has a touching tank for children that is really great to visit. There are boat tours in Wakalla Springs that take you into nature.

There are a few phenomenal restaurants in the immediate area and if you are willing to drive 30 to 60 minutes, you can find other great restaurants. St George which is about 60 minutes away and is worth visiting.

Alligator point is near several airports. Tallahassee Airport is about 45 minutes away by car. You can also fly into Panama City (two hour drive), Jacksonville (3 hour drive), or Atlanta (5 hours drive). An unpaved private landing strip is also located a few miles away.
