Casa Feliz is a traditional colonial home located at the very heart of San Miguel de Allende - one of Mexico's most picturesque towns - just steps away from the theatre, museum, library, art school and famed park, El Jardin. Visitors can thus enjoy all the comforts of home while easily exploring San Miguel's rich cultural heritage on foot. Step out of Casa Feliz's front door onto the charming cobbled streets of a by-gone era.
Shop in the neighborhood for Mexican crafts, clothes and foods, or sample the many excellent restaurants that offer a wide choice of international menus. Best of all - take an evening stroll in the delightful park - El Jardin - where Mexican families gather to chat, play, sample the tasty snacks offered by local vendors, and listen to the musicians who perform nightly under the stars. Enjoy the seasonal fiestas at one of the nearby churches.
Casa Feliz's four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms provide adequately for most groups. Its spacious living room, with three seating areas, a gaming corner, TV, VCR, telephone, books and games, as well as a dining area for up to 10 people, serves equally well as a cozy respite from busy sight-seeing days and as an elegant place in which to entertain your guests. The first floor private patio is a delightful spot in which to read, draw or just sunbathe, while the roof-top garden offers 360-degree views of San Miguel and the surrounding hills and is a wonderfully relaxed spot from which to enjoy your evening Margarita .
Casa Feliz offers colonial cantera arches, traditional fireplaces, ecapali furnishings and a collection of Mexican art and artifacts that delight the eye while lending the building the authenticity appropriate to its historic location. One of the special features of the house is an original two-foot thick arch and stone wall built almost three hundred years ago.
The maid, also an excellent cook, is highly treasured by the many visitors who have sampled her vast repertoire of Mexican specialties. A local manager is readily available should there be any problems or sudden emergencies. Sight-seeing tours and transportation from and to local airports can be arranged via a recommended agent.

San Miguel de Allende itself is a quiet, quaint town that attracts mostly artists, craftspeople and foreign expatriates who have chosen to retire in Mexico. Although this is a small city, it successfully combines old world charm with modern-day cosmopolitan lifestyle.
Most activities surround arts and learning, painting, weaving, photography and sculpture. Spanish Language schools are big here too.
Casa Feliz is at the heart of the town, steps away from all the major cultural institutions, where one can enjoy many concerts, dance performances, lectures, and theatrical productions. There are several historic buildings of interest in town.
Just a few minutes away from the house is a gym and tennis courts.
Stroll the neighborhood streets to purchase local crafts, clothes, antiques, gifts, and mexican specialities; or to enjoy the many excellent restaurants in the vicinity. The popular Sunday market is a must for local ambience. there are two major music festivals each year - the International Guitar Festival and the International Jazz Festival, as well as many local fiestas, the most important being around September 29th, day of it's Patron Saint - Archangel Saint Michael. The celebrations last all weekend and include bull-fights, cock-fights, street performers, dances, music, and the very famous pamplonadas, which include letting loose bulls to run through the streets, chasing the crowds around a pre-determined route.
Easy day-trips to nearby sites abound. Popular hot springs, where you bathe in natural warm mineral waters, are La Gruta and La Taboada, and lie about 30 minutes' outside of San Miguel. Day Trips are available to Dolores Hidalgo, named after the famous Patriot, and famous for Talavera - a very strong ceramic which is used to make a variety of crockery and also wall and floor tiles.
