Dining
There are a variety of excellent restaurants featuring traditional Mexican dishes and seafood within walking distance of Casa de Oro. Our favorite place is only a five minute walk down the beach - Burro Borracho is a popular and relaxing destination for all who visit. They have great food and a full bar with great margaritas right on the beach, and wonderful traditional Mexican folk dancers perform on Sunday nights. Costa Brava is another fine restaurant that will deliver take out to Casa de Oro and pick up the plates the next day! Heading North through Troncones, you enter the charming local village of Majahua where you can dine on freshly caught lobster, oysters, and fish. They also have excellent camarones (shrimp), all freshly prepared over a wood-fired grill with hand-made tortillas. You can enjoy a spectacular sunset with your lovely meal as you relax at the water's edge. The restaurants in Troncones range from family-run "taco" stands, to casual and romantic beachf!

A wonderful new Italian restaurant in Troncones is Tiziano's, a charming bistro where everything is delicious and homemade. Direct from Italy, Tiziano and his lovely wife Lisa are there every evening to make sure you have an excellent dining experience. Tiziano, an experienced surfer, is available for surfing lessons on the beautiful beaches of Troncones. Also, for a $25.00 fee our property manager Tina, will do any grocery shopping you would like before your arrival.


Getting Here
Flights arrive daily at Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo International Airport. Car rentals can be made in advance or at the airport, or taxi service is available. The trip from the Airport to Casa de Oro takes about forty-five minutes.When leaving Airport the road takes you out Hwy 200 head North towards Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa, you will pass these cities and traval through the small communities of Salitrera, Pantla and Buena Vista before Troncones. keep a eye on the right side of road you will see a White Marker 31 Km, you will then see a sign Playa Troncones make a Left hand Turn, follow this road to the end Turn Left and follow to the end, you are at Casa de Oro. We are the last Villa. NOTE: In the small towns there are "Topes" (Speed bumps) on Hwy,Slow Down! .Also when driving at night watch for sleeping Animals on Road !
