Since college kids have discovered the wonders of Costa Rica and are making it a popular spring break destination, book March accommodations early to avoid disappointment. While winter clothes are definitely not necessary, a light sweater or jacket for evenings away from the coast is good to have. Although casual clothes, beachwear and sandals are great for daytime hours, pack some spiffier garments and shoes for evenings at fine dining establishments and dance clubs. It’s also a good idea to bring along a variety of suitable footwear for any special sports or rigorous activities that are on the must-do list.
