Things to Do
Islamorada has something for the entire family, regardless of age. Whether you are coming to fish, dive, boat, jet-ski, kayak, windsurf, swim with dolphins or just to enjoy gorgeous sunsets, this is the place for you and your family.

On the water
Our island is often called the sport fishing capital of the world. You can go offshore in the Gulf to catch big game or stalk tarpon, permit or bonefish in the shallow backcountry waters of the Florida Bay. There are some great guides who can teach you the basics or can take the more experienced fisherman to some of the hottest spots in the Keys. If you want to rent a boat, we recommend www.boatsnowrentals.com.

Under the water
For divers, the waters off Islamorada offer both reef and wreck diving. Many of the reefs are just minutes away, are only 10 to 15 feet deep and make for great snorkeling. Most dive shops offer day and night dives, equipment rentals and lessons.

For the kids
There are a variety of activities for families with children. Visit Theater of the Sea and swim with dolphins. Go to Robby's to feed the tarpon. Visit the national park at Indian Key. There are also a number of local parks and beaches, including Anne's Beach which is right down the street from Ryan's Place and the new Founders Park on Plantation Key.

Restaurants and entertainment
Islamorada has some of the best restaurants in the Keys. You can get anything, but our fresh local seafood is almost always everyone's choice. Try conch chowder, stone crab, dolphin, yellow tail, grouper or Florida lobsters. Uncles is one of our favorites. Cuban Fried yellowtail is one of their specialties. The Islamorada Fish Company is great for lunch or dinner. Their fish sandwich is famous. They also do shark feeding at dusk most nights. For breakfast, try Mangrove Mike's.

After a day on the water or by the pool, enjoy a fabulous sunset at Papa Joe's, Morada Bay or the Lor-e-lei. There are a number of places that have live music every night.
