Offline Marketing
So far, we've focused most of our attention on online marketing. That's because it's so much more effective and affordable than other forms of advertising, especially when it comes to vacation rentals.
At some point, however, you might decide to promote your property using traditional offline media such as:
Printed Materials
Flyers, brochures, and business cards.
Mailers
Direct marketing by mail to a targeted list of recipients.
Advertising
Print and broadcast advertising can be effective if you carefully select the publication/media. Your best buy is to advertise in a publication that also has an online site so you can get both an ad in their printed publication as well as a link from their website to yours.
Another Side Of Offline Marketing
For vacation rental owners, offline marketing isn't just about buying ads and promoting your property to potential new customers. It's about the way you respond to people who inquire about your rental and the attention you give your guests before, during, and after their stay.
In other words, your marketing efforts should extend beyond simply winning over new customers. It's what some industries call "after sales service" and it's vital for generating repeat visitors. And remember that it's much easier to sell a product or service to a past customer than it is to win over a new one.
Your most effective and valuable offline marketing occurs when you are managing your reservations, dealing with current guests, and encouraging past guests to come back again.
And speaking of reservations, it's time to cover the process itself... starting with the keys to success.
