Island Rental Accommodation:
Guests stay in the islands large 3,800 square foot 3 story timber home which boasts lots of airy porches, lofty ceilings, cooling surrounding foliage and cross ventilation. There are 3 bedrooms each with a queen size bed and bathroom with a jacuzzi in the master bedroom. The home provides generous room for entertaining and offers relaxing panoramic views of ever-changing vistas of the surrounding area.

Unlike the busy islands in Florida’s Upper Keys, Melody Key has retained its unspoiled nature whilst offering all imaginable facilities for that romantic getaway for two or for entertaining your guests. The island caretaker is discreetly absent, but if required can be summoned within 5 minutes by cellular phone. The perfect destination for the ultimate experience for family and friends at Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year or that very special occasion

Virtual connection to the outside world is also readily available on Melody Key. The island is newly equipped with a high speed internet satellite. Bring your laptop computer and surf the web connected by ethernet cable or wireless connection. The wireless connection is a "Wi-Fi hot-spot" that will enable you to get high speed internet connection anywhere in or around the house if your computer is wireless enabled. This service is free.

Melody Key is completely self sufficient with primary electricity provided by solar panels, an extensive bank of newly upgraded, high-powered batteries, and a back up generator. Water is supplied by a 22,000 gallon cistern and desalination machine. Telephone communication is provided by cellular phone. The island also includes a Hi-Def satellite television with Tivo.

You’ll have complete privacy on Melody Key. However, should you require assistance, our discrete caretaker lives on a neighboring island, five minutes away by boat, and is just a phone call away, accessible 24 hours a day. Optional services are happily arranged with fees quoted separately, including limousine service from either Miami, Key West or Marathon airport. Also available are fishing and diving charters, grocery shopping and stocking, maid service, massage and even chef service.

Included with the rental of Melody Key for one week is one 18 ft. jetboat (this size is adequate for up to 6 people) with 265 hp motor, cooler, large storage areas, and AM/FM CD. This is at NO extra cost to you.

Sailing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, fishing. A boat is included in the rental price and enables you to travel to larger islands such as Summerland Key or drive to Key West with its wonderful restaurants, elegant shops, art galleries and sporting facilities such as golf and tennis. An endless supply of games and books, and fishing gear is supplied. A mobile phone is provided if needed. The area is considered by many to have the best fishing and diving in America.


How to get to your own private island:
Money Key is only 25 miles via the Overseas Highway from Key West or Marathon, each with a modern international airport. Also, there is also a private airstrip only 5 minutes by boat on Summerland Key. You could even charter a helicopter and land on the island's helipad.

(A 18-foot jetboat is provided at no extra charge with island rental.) And for those who prefer not to operate a boat, pickup and drop off service 24/7 is easily arranged.
