The area abounds with excellent restuarants and trattorias some within walking distance.

There are numerous antique villas to visit and wine growing and olive oil estates where one can taste and buy.

The lovely town of Lucca, with it's medieval walls and ramparts is only about 6 kms away where you can hire bikes to ride around the walls or stroll through the narrow streets enjoying the many small elegant boutiques and stopping for coffee in really smart bars.

There are churches, piazzas, museums with extraordinary architecture and even the small back streets are a sight to be seen.
