Long Key State Park is found on this key, and many people enjoy camping here while on vacation. In fact, many of the campers here area are also fisherman, who want to try their luck at the sea. Another way visitors can explore the park is by canoeing through the connected lagoons disperesed through the park as well as along the shore. There are two hiking trails found in this park, including Golden Orb Trail, which takes visitors Florida's varied plant life and eventually to an observation point that gives visitors a panoramic view of the key. Under the sea is a network of reefs that visitors can dive around. In fact, some of the coral reefs can be scene while on land because of higher sea levels thousands of years ago.
