The Pukana La "Sunrise" is located in Hale Ko’olau, a family owned & operated group of direct ocean & beach front vacation homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Sacred Falls, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions. We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu...where the Ko’olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu & Waikiki. The Pukana La is a completely remodeled and updated "Hawaiian style" vacation rental cottage circa 1930s with a dramatic "wall of windows" in the main living area overlooking the ocean and Hauula Bay. Pukana La is a fully air conditioned & spacious two bedroom, one bath duplex holiday home with porcelain tile floors throughout. The Pukana La features a complete, modern and open kitchen with sealed top stove/range, dishwasher, built-in microwave, fridge, and all the cooking utensils you nee` to prepare complete meals. The kitchen opens to the living area with a convenient breakfast bar/nook while enjoying direct ocean views. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and also has wrap-around breath-taking ocean views. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room which allows this vacation rental home to accommodate up to 6 guests. In the dining room area the original red wood beams have been exposed and creative lighting illuminates the ceiling. The master suite has tranquil garden views and features a Sealy pillow-top queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a Sealy pillow-top queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. Both bedrooms have individually controlled, ultra quiet mini-split air conditioning & tropical ceiling fans although they are rarely needed as this vacation home enjoys cool tropical breezes year around. There are tropical ceiling fans in the living room as well.
