We are extremely close to several popular destinations as well. In a 45 minute drive you can visit the old mining town of Santa Rosalia on the Sea of Cortez and in 1 ½ hoursyou can be at the Pacificeither at the Laguna San Ignacio or Punta Abreojos.
Within our paradise you can:
* Pick fresh dates from the palms outside your window
* Swim in the sweet water on the private dock
* Fish for tilapia and carp practically from your doorstep
* Kayaks, a sail-boat and 2 slightly larger boats are provided for you to paddle to the springs where the river starts. The temperature of the water here is good for year round swimming.
* Explore the 18th century aqueduct built by the missionaries to supply water to the town site.
* Excellent bird watching including several different herons, kingfishers, egrets, cormorants, coots, osprey and eagles.
* The Mission is one of the oldest and best maintained in Baja and still offers regular services and has an excellent Museum.
* Take a walk to explore the plaza and the quaint Mexican pueblo. Maps of hiking trails are available.
* Take a trail ride with a local guide on horseback or mule.

Organized Tours
Package 1: Visit the historic rock are of the Sierra San Francisco. Discover the giant murals of an unknown people. These artifacts are believed to be unmatched in the new world and are said to be comparable to the Paleolithic cave paintings of Europe. They are thought to be some of the oldest in the world. We offer 4 day/3 night excursions where you will ride in on mules, your equipment packed on burros, accompanied by registered INAH guides. We will provide camping gear, food, permits and transportation from San Ignacio to the Sierra and back, plus one nights accommodations at Ignacio Springs either at the beginning of your trip, or at the end. You will need to supply your own sleeping mat and bag as well as a flashlight and your personal effects. Cost per person is $150 US per day per person, 4 people minimum.
