Located in a 17th century “hotel particulier” (the term hotel particulier refers to grand old private mansions built around a courtyard which were occupied by the Parisian aristocracy) this Paris flat has 3.5 meter (11.5 Foot) high ceilings, old wooden beams, large French windows, a stone fireplace and parquet floors.

After entering the cobblestone courtyard of the 300 year old stone building this triplex apartment is up two flights of stone stairs. The 1st level of the Paris vacation rental has a bright entryway, a large living room connected to the dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a master bedroom with a queen bed and a large en suite bathroom (large enclosed tub with wall mounted shower), a half bath and a laundry room. The second level, accessed by an interior spiral staircase, has a 2nd bedroom with a trundle bed (two singles or a queen), a small 3rd bedroom with a single bed, and 2nd bath with shower. From the 2nd bedroom there is a steep ladder that goes up to a mansard mezzanine space with a single bed and lovely rooftop views.

Located on rue Michel le Comte in the heart of the Marais district the apartment is a short walk from, Beaubourg/Pompidou museum of modern art, Picasso museum, Seine river, Place des Vosges, Musee Carnavalet, Jewish museum, famous Montorgueil market, the Rambuteau food and produce market, and all of the trendy boutiques, art galleries, bistros, and restaurants of the Marais. The location of the rental is perfect for easy walking to all of central Paris: Ile St Louis, St. Germain des Pres, the Latin quarter, Notre Dame, Ile de La Cite . . .

“ Le Marais” is one of the most popular and central, trendy, funky, intellectual and arty areas of Paris and is the perfect base for a Paris holiday or business experience for just about any type of person. For the business and corporate traveler the apartment is a direct metro ride to La Defense (the business district of Paris) from metro Hotel de Ville.

Please note: this apartment is the perfect rental for those who do not mind stairs, but is not an appropriate flat to rent for anyone with trouble climbing. There are two flights of stairs to access the apartment from the street level and an interior staircase to the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms + a second steep staircase for those wishing to use the mezzanine bedroom on the third level of the triplex.
