It's always "Millertime" at our newly remodeled home on beautiful Captiva Island situated on a secluded lot with a private pool. Miles of white sand beaches on the Gulf are just a two minute walk away. This home is also located in the heart of Captiva's charming Village area with its quaint shops, galleries and fine dining. This is truly a place to come and get away from it all.

We have recently updated this home with all new carpet, tile, paint and furniture that gives the home a decidedly "island" look.

The living room with cathedral ceiling has a sleeper sofa and new entertainment center with 36" cable TV, VCR/DVD and stereo. Two sets of double sliding glass doors lead to a large screened lanai adjacent to the pool. The lanai has plenty of seating and a set of table and chairs for additional dining space. The heated pool is in a large screen area and is very private with tropical vegetation surrounding it. Parents with children will appreciate that the lanai has a gate that can be locked to keep toddlers away from the pool.

The large master bed with king size bed is equipped with cable TV/VCR, a private bath and sliding doors that lead to a patio area.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed, cable TV/VCR and sliding glass doors overlooking the pool.

The third bedroom has two twin beds, plenty of closet space and cable TV/VCR.

A modern, fully equipped kitchen and dining area is open to the living room and has everything needed to prepare snacks to complete meals, including refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. A gas grill located on the porch deck is available for grilling steaks or your own catch of fish from the Gulf.

Your vacation home and pool area are surrounded by colorful tropical Palm trees, flowering shrubs and even a Key Lime tree. The Gulf beach with some of the best shelling in the world and spectacular sunsets is a two minute walk to the West. A short walk to the East will bring you to a marina on the bay side of the island where you can rent a boat or just watch the manatees lounging around the docks.

Boat and jet ski rentals are available at the beach as is parasailing. Two 18 hole golf courses, The Dunes and Beachview are 20 minutes away on Sanibel Island. The Captiva Library is right next door and has books, CDs, videos and Internet Access available to guests for a small fee.

What we like about Captiva is what you wont find there, like high rise condos/hotels, fast-food restaurants and busy shopping centers. It's just an unspoiled tropical island where you can relax and get away from it all.

Boat and jet ski rentals are available at the beach, along with parasailing. At the nearby marina you can rent a boat for the day or take a sight seeing/lunch cruise to other islands on the bay like Cabbage Key or Useppa. Two 18 hole golf courses, The Dunes and Beachview are just 20 minutes away on Sanibel Island. A must see attraction is the world famous Ding Darling Wildlife Sanctuary on Sanibel where you can enjoy bike trails, canoe unspoiled waterways or take an evening guided boat tour on Tarpon Bay to see dolphins and hundreds of native birds.

What we like best about Captiva Island are things you will not find there, like beaches lined with high rise condos, fast food restaurants, and busy shopping malls...just an unspoiled tropical island where you can relax and get away from it all.
