The apartment has just about everything most people could want. It is extremely quiet, really charming with a view of the Seine River, and situated in the most preferred spot in Paris: the Ile Saint-Louis!
Located in a beautiful 17th Century building on the Ile Saint Louis, on the banks of the Seine River, in a small and very quiet street, and right next to the lively "rue Saint-Louis en l'Ile" with stores, boutiques, cafes, and restaurants.
The building has a magnificent entrance with old cobblestones. The apartment has old French oak floors and is tastefully furnished with antics (Henri II dressers, game and round tables Regency table, Louis XVI desk and game table, Napoleon dresser). It has been completely remodeled in May 2006!

This quaint little island, with no subway stop, is an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Three metro lines however, can easily be reached by crossing the appropriate bridge to the Left or Right Banks. You'll be one of a community of about 6,000 surrounded by 16th and 17th century mansions, with their beautiful stone-paved courtyards; fashionable shops, and terrific restaurants.
The most famous ice cream shop in Paris, Berthillon, is a few seconds away and the Seine River is at your doorstep! Each time you cross the Pont de la Tournelle, "on the way to the continent," as the locals like to say, you'll have a breathtaking view of Notre Dame that will leave you dazzled. The Latin Quarter on the Left Bank, and the Marais on the Right Bank, are just short strolls away. This is truly the heart of Paris!
Stop for a moment to admire the stunning Gothic architecture of Notre-Dame cathedral. Then wander onto the islands of "Ile de la Cité" and "Ile Saint-Louis". Right next to the colorful market of the Place Maubert and the boulevard Saint-Germain, steps away the Sorbonne University, Luxembourg Gardens and the open-air market of the rue Mouffetard: Yours for those wishing to visit much of historic Paris on foot, this apartment is ideal!
