This apartment sleeps up to 6 guests and captures the essence of true Roman ruins within your living space.

85 squared meters of Roman history (25 of which on Ground floor + 65 in the basement).

There is one double bed on the Ground Floor &
one double +2 single beds in the basement.

The entrance is into the kitchen and small living area (where there is a very comfortable double sofa bed).

One takes a small spiral staircase into the main room which is a large cellar type room. On one end, there is a double bed and sofa, with wardrobe and hanging space, and the other end is partially-partitioned where there is a dining area with table and chairs, and two single sofa beds.

The apartment has an incredibly beautiful "pompeian" bathroom, with a large shower and a bath located by an ancient Roman wall where you'll notice marble stones, broken vases and bricks.

The bathroom is basically constructed around a large ancient Roman pillar. The main pillar has been restored and forms part of the walls in the bathroom. Embedded within the pillar are clearly distinguishable artifacts, up to 2000 years old. There is a bath, basin, toilet and shower. The Basin is dated late 1800s. The basement also shows a vaulted ceiling with arches from the 14th century.

A state of the art air-circulation system is installed to ensure a very comfortable environment.

Traffic in the area is infrequent as it is normally used only by fellow residents.

Within 40 metres either way are some great eating places, which cater to a variety of budgets and tastes, and a five minute stroll will get you to a large number of dining, snacking, drinking and "cobbled courtyard coffee-in-the-sun" establishments.

Apart from being in a perfect location, the intuitive, tasteful and innovative design combines a big space feel with a feeling of privacy.

Please note: there isn't a television in the apartment.

The apartment is located in a small cobbled street only 6 metres wide, in an ancient part of Rome, just behind the Roman Forum.

The area is mainly residential, and is home to many very interesting restaurants and trattoria, along with a wide variety of antique restorers and various crafts.

The area is home to many famous artists (esp. writers, movie stars and directors). Most famous (internationally) is film-director Mario Monicelli ("The Great War", "The Girl with A Pistol", "High Infedelity", "The Unfaithfuls", "The Passionate Thief").

Transport in and out of the area is very simple as 100 meters away is an underground station and a short walk to the Forum area takes you into the centre of the city.
