The Cigarral de la Ermita is in Toledo, on one small hill enjoying the best sight of old historic city where christians, juifs and arabs (the Three Cultures) live peacefully together. Within ten minutes you can walk into this center through Saint Martin medieval bridge over the river Tajo. There you can visit two wonderfull synagogues, two small mosques (X century) and a lot of christian catholic churches including the outstanding gothic Cathedral and the monastery San Juan de los Reyes. And a lot of other museums and monuments. To be mentioned: Santa Cruz, Tavera, Sefardí, de los Concilios, el Alcázar, Biblioteca de Castilla La Mancha, etc. Toledo is also the city of the painter El Greco. He lived there and there remains a lot of his master pieces

Toledo was the center city of the roman province (Cartaginensis) in Hispania, and the capital with the Visigothic Kings (V to early VIII centuries), A taifa kingdom with the arabs and again the capital of the catholic Spain till XVI Centuty. The biggest holiday in Toledo still is the Corpus Christi day. Today is the capital of Castilla La Mancha autonomous region. Close to Madrid (70 kilometers) and linked with it with a High Speed Train (AVE) that last only 30 minutes.(12 times a day in each direction).

El Gigarral de la Ermita is built on a property of 12.000 square meters with centenary olive trees, oaks, almond trees, cypresses, etc. In a corner, among the olive trees, the owners have planted a small vineyard enough to allow them to produce over a hundred bottles of wine a year for their own pleasure.

The house, about 600 square meters including porches and terraces, in three levels, is not an old one. It is a 17 years old building with the modern confort and facilities but following the cigarral traditions of materials, style, patios, gardens, fountains, etc.

A second living and TV room, a dining room, a fully equipped Kitchen, a washing and ironing room and a pantry room. 2 porches, 2 terraces, garage, and 2 patios outside. And a large swimming pool with lawn, a shaded place a sunshade and several deckchairs.
