Villa La Collina dates back to 1600. The home has been transformed several times during the centuries.

The present owner has restored Villa Collina and every thing has been respectfully preserved.

There are wallpaintings and frescues painted by the former owner Countess Zorzi Franchini Stappo in the '20th. The large living-areas are on the ground floor and the bed-rooms on the two upper floors.

All the bedrooms are decorated and eleganty furnished, all with a beautiful view.

The Villa is located on the top of a hill surrounded by a park with ponds and enjoys a spectacular views in all directions; and in particular the hills of Chianti.

The desert room is painted with sand dunes and a sky with stars. African handmade plates decorate the sky over the beds. The two white wardrobes are made in prospective to look like desert tents. The view overlooks far-away mountains with little villages.

Big Bath-room

The bath-room is big and has a wonderful views of the Chianti montains. It's executed in a rare green/grey marble from Portugalput up on the walls in a large sheets connecting the drawing of the marble as opening a book.
Bath-roomThe big and comfortable kitchen on the ground floor takes you directly out to the park. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a fireplace to cook Tuscan specialities on the coals. The park is furnished to be able to eat outside and enjoy the sunset. The storage room has a big refrigeratormicro-oven and accessories. When the castle is rented for longer periodthe guests can use the kitchen. This is not possible when the guest stay for few days and they will be served breakfast. Outside the kitchen there is a wc and a laundry with a dryer.

The big bathroom is made out of pink marble from Portugal put up on the walls in large sheets connecting the drawing of the marble as when opening a book. A Putto is painted on the ceiling holding the light. Outdoors

wc and cooking utilities. Pool towels are given. From the secluded poolde there is a fabulous view of the Tuscan landscape.
The castle swimmingpool lies near the vineyards of the castle below the mainbuilding. The department is equipped with both showersThe entrance is protected by 4 columns in tufo marble from Siena holding an overstanding terrace.

When you enter there is a beautiful staircase in the same marble dominating the entrance.

The second floor has a large wallpainting that portrays the owner of the house. Entering & going to the right you walk into a spacious living-area at the ground floor. The first and the second floors feature the the sleeping-areas.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Cardinal room
The Cardinal's room has a large single bed with 4 wheels called 'Ferrari'. The room is decorated with verticallarge stripes in red and withe. The drawer painted on the picture is reproduced and placed under the painting. The window look out to the front of the park with the view on cipressess and box-hedges.

Palm room
The master bedroom is called The palm room and has a baldachin bed with a precious old silk cover. The front wall is a finely painted wardrobe decorated with symbols of the 4 elements. The view looks far out over the Chianti hills until Castellina.

Sunflower room
The Sunflower room has two old brass beds. Behind the beds there is an old American quilt'Betlehem Star'. There is an armchair bed that can be used for one more person.

Flying Cup room
Decorated with horizontal stripes with the colors of Sienagrey/pinkthe room with the 'flying Cups' is a double room overlooking the front of the house with the view on cypresses and box-edges in the park

Horoscopy Room
The room of the Horoscopy has a lovely view over the Chianti hills until Castellina. It is comfortable with a sofaa table and the decoration of twelve medallion with the grafic signs of the zodiac enriches the atmosphere
