Relax on our deck and enjoy the gorgeous views and good company in the privacy of this sparkling cottage, the high, vaulted ceilings architecturally reminiscent of homes built in the early 1900s. It reflects how families have lived here in Hawaii for over five generations. Comfort, beauty, and handsome simplicity in tune with Hawaii's weather!

The Aloha Sunset Cottage is a romantic one bedroom, one bath, honeymoon cottage on 7 acres. We are located at the very end of a country road, quiet and peaceful, yet close to all the action..
Many of our guests keep very busy enjoying the unmatched beauty and natural resources of Kauai's Northshore! We are just minutes from secluded Pilaa Beach, Anini Beach, Hanalei Bay and wild Larsen's Beach to name some of world class North Shore beaches nearby.

The location is convenient - close to restaurants, bakeries, farmer's markets, and shops. It is an easy drive to Princeville, Hanalei Town, Ke'e beach and Napali Coast hiking, yet not far to Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park (hiking) on the West side.

If you are traveling with another couple, we have an additional romantic cottage, our Aloha Sunrise Cottage, which is just a short stroll away.

This Hawaiian style cottage comes with vaulted ceiling, a sunny deck to lounge on, and a well furnished living room, kitchen and dining area. The cottage comfortably sleeps parties of two (2). The bedroom has a king sized bed and the bathroom a combination tub / shower. We provide as green, healthy, harmonious an environment for your well being and enjoyment as possible. For your well being and your enjoyment, we provide an environment as green, healthy, and harmonious as possible. Pesticides are used only in an emergency, recycling is available, all detergents and cleaning products are nontoxic and bio-degradable, and finally we purchase Carbon Credits to off set our business' carbon foot print. Out the back door is a combination clothes washer/dryer and recycling bin.

Island Activities
Princeville Resort- This destination resort offers two world-class golf courses, a variety of public and private tennis courts, a spa and health club. Numerous secluded beaches are nestled along the coastline as well as the famous Queen’s bath. The modern shopping centers features a supermarket, specialty shops, a fine selection of restaurants, banks, a gas station, and post office.

The Beach- Aloha Sunset Cottage is just a very short drive to 3 beautiful beaches, Kalihiwai, Secret's, and Rock Quarry Beach.. and within a 15-mile radius some of the most incredible beaches in the world; Haena Beach, Lumahai Beach, Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach to name a few. When visiting Kauai's beaches you can swim, snorkel, surf, boogie board, windsurf, go fishing, kayak, look for shells ….or just relax under a palm frond!

Surf and Windsurfing- This is the perfect opportunity to learn to surf in the gentle waters of Hanalei Bay. Or perhaps take a sailboard lesson just down the road at anini Beach.

Snorkeling and Scuba- The best snorkeling and scuba spots on Kauai are inside protective reefs. The choice of destination is determined by a variety of factors including the tide, surf, wind and restrictions. These activities include the use of professional quality equipment, everything is supplied except for your enthusiasm.

Na Pali Coast Tours- Come Explore Kauai’s rugged Na Pali Coast aboard a luxury sailing catamaran or zodiac with friendly sea-going professionals. You’ll disover abundant wildlife, pristine reefs, dolphins & whales. Taking a boat trip along the Na Pali is a wonderful way to see those incredible waterfalls & cliffs. Several tours depart from Hanalei - just 10 minutes away, while others leave from Port Allen on the South Shore.

Heliocopter Tour- Enter into a world of lush tropical rainforests, jagged mountains, sea cliffs, beaches and craters. You will climb past Hanalei, hover over the 3,400 ft. Mt. Namolokama waterfalls and soar into the vast Waimea Canyon. You will pass Pu’u-ka-Pele, before crossing the Alaka’i swamp. You will be in awe as the Na Pali Cliffs open up before you.

Deep Sea Fishing- A most sensational deep sea fishing adventure can be yours this vacation. The warm tropical waters of the Hawaiian islands are attract some of the greatest big game fish in the world, including Ahi, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo. Departing from Port Allen, you'll set sail with a seasoned captain and crew. View spectacular vistas of Kauai on your way to the fishing site.

ATV Tours- Venture into Kauai's lush tropical paradise on the back of an easy-to-use All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). Ride your own ATV and enjoy breath-taking mountain and coastal views. Choose one of the daily expeditions through the gorgeous mountains of Kauai's south side for an unforgettable experience of the road less traveled.

Kayaking- Rent a kayak for a lazy paddle up a lush tropical stream and swim under waterfalls, or join an adventure on the open sea, going down the napali coast from Kee Beach to Polihale. A variety of tours are available for experiencing our islands waterways, or rent your own and explore by yourself.

Zipline Tours- Our newest adventure! The "Zip n' Dip Expedition" is for anyone 12 and older and between 80 and 280 lbs. It is a combination of 8 ziplines, 1 suspension bridge, and ends up at an awesome waterfall swim hole for lunch, diving, jumping, and floating around on inner tubes. An experience of a lifetime!

Hiking- Kauai offers some of the most breath-taking hikes within its park system, and several companies offer guided hikes to beautiful jungle destinations on private land. Our favorite is the 8-mile round-trip hike from the end of the road at Kee Beach to magnificent Hanakapaia Falls. Don't forget your camera for this one.

Luaus- Hawaiian for dinner & a show! There are several fantastic luaus on the island. Exotic tropical dancers and ono grinds... not for the faint of appetite.
