Enjoy the beach with firepit and steps down to the water to the abundant oysters, clams, crabbing and warm water swiimming! Plenty of lawn chairs for sunbathing and enjoying the pleasures of Hood Canal! The beach at the Hood Canal Hideaway is loaded with oysters! Your guesthouse sleeps six with a game table and fridge for the kids! It is at the back of the main house and shares the upstairs bathroom via a lighted walkway. The guesthouse has large picture windows with it's own view of the Hood Canal waterfront. The Hood Canal Hideway has two kitchens, one on each level. The upstairs kitchen is a large full-size kitchen with eating area for six plus seating for another six people in the adjacent dining room. Our downstairs kitchen is a walk-in kitchen with full-size appliances and a mirowave. Your dishwasher is upstairs. Enjoy your large upstairs livingroom /diningroom combination with fireplace and picture windows from the diningroom with view of Hood Canal and the Olympia mountains.
Your upstairs master bedroom has a sitting area with large picture window for view of the Olymjpia Mountains and waterfront! The view from your partially covered wrap-around deck of the Hood Canal and mountains. Barbecue as you enjoy your waterfront view!
Property Description
Come spend the weekend, week, or more with us during any season and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Olympic Mountains along with beautiful sunsets with abundant oysters, clams, crab, and mussels on your own beach. Later, enjoy a campfire at the beach or a cozy fire indoors. For fall activities, the ranger station at the Olympic National Forest is a morning drive and can provide you with all the hiking trails. Winter sports include downhill and cross country skiing at nearby Hurricane Ridge, which also hosts organized snow shoe trips.

Enjoy antique shopping in Hoodsport, Belfair or Union and the many gift and specialty shops located on the southeastern end of the canal. We are located less than 2 miles from Alderbrook resort with fine dining options and golf. If the outdoors calls you, there is hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding within driving distance. Plus, enjoy all the watersports on your very own beach.

Accommodations
The home is a two-level with separate entrances which are easily accessible. Upstairs has a large deck with covered area for barbecues, complete with the propane grill. You can also enjoy your coffee on the backyard patio. There are kitchens on each level and the upstairs is furnished with state of the art appliances plus dishes and utensils for fourteen. Plus, each level has brick fireplaces and large picture windows with views of the waterfront and mountains. Each floor has a master bedroom with sitting area and water view, along with second bedrooms. Three bedrooms are funished with king beds for comfortable sleeping and one is furnished with bunkbeds for family sleeping. All sleeping areas but one have a water view and cable television is furnished.

The guest house is included in the price and is a separate unit with open area for sleeping five. It is a perfect place for the kids, complete with board games. It shares the bathroom with the upper floor of the house via a lighted walkway.

There is a cement bulkhead with firepit and storage for beach toys or scuba gear and mooring buoy for your own boat or use the boat provided to enjoy the waters of Hood Canal. For larger boats, boat launching facillities are located at the marina in Union, the Alderbrook Resort and Twanoh State Park, which also has great clamming beaches, camping and tennis courts.
