Property Description
This 5-year-old home is open and roomy, with tropical wood cathedral ceilings. We have recently added a new master bedroom and bath, and the beautiful pool with water falls tops off the perfect setting. Please check our website for more information, and other properties for rent and for sale.
The house sits on over 5 acres, divided equally between botanical flower and fruit gardens; jungle with monkeys, toucans, parrots, and birds from the Caribbean slope as well as the Pacific slope. The setting is breathtaking and private, with a wide-open view of the lake. The average temperature is 76 degrees F. making it a perfect climate away from the oppressive heat of the beaches.
The location of this and our other rentals, and properties for sale, are all on the north side of Lake Arenal, 20 miles from Arenal Volcano, Tabocon Hot Springs, The Hanging Bridges, the new Canopy Tram, and all the other must see locations. This is important if you plan to make day trips to the Volcano area, to homes on the Tilaran & Tronadora side of lake, which are an hour further. It is also approximately 2 hours to the northern Pacific Beaches. There is a local canopy tour at Eco Lodge, Arenal Botanical Gardens, 4 wheeler, kayak, windsurfing, fishing/boating rentals, and river rafting are all in the Nuevo Arenal area. You can even take a boat across the lake and be taken in a comfortable van to visit Monteverde for around $25/ person.
The majestic and ever-active Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Hot Springs, are the number one destinations in Costa Rica. Bath in the hot springs, then enjoy a fabulous lunch or dinner. Hurry home though as the Costa Rican sunsets at Por Dicha are incredible, or watch the lava come down at the volcano!
Want more? You are just a couple of hours from the Monteverde cloud forest and Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. Access to Costa Rica's Caribbean and Pacific beaches is easy too from our central location. The Pacific beaches of Tamarindo, Flamingo, Coco, and Papagayo are but a two-hour drive. Canopy tours are available, and we are in some of the most ecologically diverse locales in the world.

The small quiet town of Nuevo Arenal is becoming a mecca for tourists and people like the owners who have moved to this beautiful area. As a result, there are some excellent restaurants in town, of course banks, grocery stores, and various tours available.
Arenal Botanical Gardens is walking distance from the property. The Macadamia Farm is a few minutes away for tours and horeback riding. Eco Lodge has a cloud forest walk, canopy tours, boat tours, and overlooks Lake Arenal as well as the heart shaped Coter Lake which is bottomless! You can also rent 4-wheelers to roam the back roads and wilds of the area.
