The Windswept is the perfect place for an affordable family vacation or romantic getaway.
The house is furnished and decorated with your comfort in mind. Here you will find comfortable chairs, a fully stocked kitchen for "eating in", lots of videos and cd's for your enjoyment, and good reading lamps. For folks who want to have an extended visit, there is a chest freezer located in the kitchen which holds plenty of food. If you like the idea of vacationing out in the country, with the ocean just a stone's throw away, you'll love the Windswept.
Located in beautiful private Rainbow Bay, you will enjoy swimming and snorkeling at the beautiful, secluded "Hidden Cove Beach." The "Cliffs Area", located just a short distance away, provides sightseers with the most beautiful and dramatic scenery on Eleuthera. If you like exploring, the caves at Hatchet Bay are worth visiting!
Surfer's Beach is is a short trip to the north, just beyond Gregory Town. Smuggler's Beach, just down the road, is a great spot for surfers, as well.
Rainbow Bay Beach, just a short bicycle ride away, is a beautiful well maintained area with a lovely pink sand beach which is perfect for family outings. Located on the Caribbean side, the water is generally calm and perfect for fishing and snorkeling. The Rainbow Bay Inn and Restaurant (about 1/2 mile away) is a great place for dining out and definitely worth visiting!
The Windswept is located in a very private quite area. The view of the Atlantic from the wrap-around porch is fabulous. You will enjoy listening to the sound of the breakers from every room. The Atlantic breeze blows all through you house, keeping you cool even on hot summer days.
Hidden Cove Beach is about a one minute walk from the house. If you like to explore, you'll find lots of beaches close to the house. Pack a picnic lunch, jump on the bicycles, and enjoy a day of beach-hopping. Also, tennis fans are entitled to use the tennis courts at the Rainbow Bay Inn, about one-half mile away.
If you enjoy star gazing, you will love the location of the
Windswept. There are absolutely no lights anywhere around! Also, because the house is 80% glass, you can watch the moon rise from the living room sofa and see the stars while lying in the bed!
